General Conditions of Sale

Terms

Scan4you, Lda promotes on the website scan4you.pt dental health services and products that are exclusively intended for professionals in the Dentistry sector, namely Dentists, Stomatologists, Dental Clinics and Dental Technicians.

 

Services are understood to mean the following work:

  • digital molding and scanning, provided at the Client’s premises;

  • repair of dental prostheses carried out at the Client's facilities;

  • CAD design of prostheses, models or digital wax-ups, carried out at our facilities or at the Client's facilities;

  • digital scanning of working models, carried out at our facilities or the Client’s facilities;

  • patient photography session to collect information at the Client's facilities;

  • trial consultation with patient at the Client’s premises;

 

 

Products or Works are understood to mean the following custom-made medical devices:

  • single crowns or bridges, on teeth or implants, made from all available materials;

  • veneers, inlays, overlays, made in all available materials;

  • full dentures on teeth or implants, made from all available materials;

  • fixed or removable acrylic prostheses;

  • skeletal prostheses;

  • plaster models;

  • milled prostheses, made from all available materials;

  • models, mock-ups or printed prostheses, made from all available materials;

 

Prices and Taxes

Service prices are available in the General Price List, which can be requested by calling +351 910 405 564, or by emailing us to info@scan4you.pt

 

The prices shown in the General Price List do not include sales or import taxes, which is shown at the final purchase stage. The legal VAT rate in force can vary between 6% and 23%, depending on the nature of the services and products purchased.

 

Scan4you, Lda may update the prices of products and services at any time, and is obliged to inform its Customers in writing, via email or written message, at least 20 working days prior to its implementation. To do this, the Customer must keep their contact information up to date.

 

If written communication is provided to the contacts provided by the Customer, the Customer may not return the prosthetic products, claiming lack of knowledge of the changes previously informed.

 

Product delivery times

The delivery time for products must be previously agreed and confirmed in writing between the Customer and Scan4you, Lda. Communication may be made via the website www.scan4you.pt, via email (info@scan4you.pt) or by phone (+351 910 405 564).

 

Whenever possible, Scan4You, Lda will try to ensure that all products are delivered within the previously agreed time frame. However, this deadline is dependent on external factors over which Scan4you, Lda has no control: failures in the supply chain of raw materials, delays in the delivery of elements or raw materials necessary for carrying out the work by third parties or equipment breakdowns.

 

Scan4you is not responsible for delays caused by third parties, nor for any losses suffered by the Customer resulting from such delays.

The delivery period for products, unless previously agreed in writing with the Customer, is:

  • zirconium or ceramic crowns and bridges (up to 6 elements) on teeth and implants - 20 working days

  • zirconium or metal prostheses on teeth and implants (more than 6 elements) - 45 working days

  • 3D printing of temporary prostheses, models, wax-ups and surgical guides - 10 working days

  • milling of metal structures - 15 working days

  • acrylic denture repair - 5 business days

 

Scheduling and canceling services

The services may be provided at the facilities of Scan4you, Lda, or at the Client's facilities. 

 

Scan4you, Lda provides digital molding and scanning services, as well as dental prosthesis repairs, carried out at its Clients' facilities. These services can be booked via the website www.scan4you.pt, by email (info@scan4you.pt) or by phone (+351 910 405 584) and should be booked as far in advance as possible. All services are subject to the availability of technicians and equipment necessary to carry them out.

 

Whenever possible, Scan4You, Lda will seek to ensure that all services are provided in the shortest possible time. However, this period is dependent on external factors and, for which Scan4you, Lda has no control: failures in the supply chain of raw materials, delays in the delivery of elements or raw materials necessary for carrying out the work by third parties, equipment breakdowns, delays in arriving at the Customer's address to provide the services.

 

Scan4you, Lda reserves the right not to accept or cancel service orders already confirmed, in the event of a stock shortage of raw materials, equipment failure, constraints in the raw material supply chain, due to being requested on holidays or weekends or outside the company's working hours.

 

Scan4you; Lda is not responsible for delays caused by third parties in the provision of services, nor for any losses to the Customer resulting from such delays or cancellations.

 

The Customer may cancel scheduled and confirmed services, without charging for the service, with at least 5 (five) business days' notice. You must do so in writing by email to info@scan4you.pt, or by telephone +351 910 405 564.

 

Scheduling confirmed services implies rejecting the request for other services requested by other Customers, for the same time or day. In the event of cancellation by the Customer of scheduled and confirmed services, Scan4you, Lda reserves the right to charge the respective amounts.

 

The provision of services carried out at the Client's facilities may incur additional costs such as travel costs or equipment rental costs required to carry out the services. Whenever there is an additional cost for carrying out the service, the Customer must be informed in advance.

 

The provision of services is subject to acceptance of the Specific Conditions of Sale, contained in the Price List previously agreed with the Customer.

 

 

Billing and Payments

All products and services are charged on the day of delivery of the product or provision of the service and, except for conditions previously agreed with the Customer in the Specific Conditions of Sale, the payment term is pre-payment.

 

The services and products provided by Scan4you, Lda, can be paid for by the Customer through the following means

 

  • Bank Transfer

  • MBWay

 

Scan4you, Lda reserves the right to cancel the delivery of products or the provision of services, in the event of amounts owed by the Customer, and the Customer may not charge Scan4you, Lda with any costs or losses arising from its cancellation.

 

 

Components and clinical prescription

Unless otherwise agreed with the customer in the Specific Conditions of Sale, the Customer is responsible for providing Scan4you, Lda, with the following elements, for each job to be contracted:

 

  • new prosthetic components and screws in their original packaging and with all manufacturing specifications and instructions for use;

  • scanbodies;

  • CAD libraries;

  • analogues for models;

  • prosthetic keys;

  • date of collection of elements, evidence and final delivery;

  • clinical prescription elements, according to defined work protocols (consult).

 

In turn, Scan4you, Lda is responsible for:

  • return all elements provided, when requested by the Customer;

  • take care of and maintain in good condition all items provided by the Customer;

  • provide access to all information about materials, batches and production stages;

  • comply with the instructions referred to in the Client's clinical prescription (materials, color).

 

 

Collection and delivery of work

 

Unless otherwise agreed, as described in the Specific Conditions of Sale, the transport costs for collection and delivery of work are the responsibility of the Customer. Transport costs must be invoiced together with the products or services, in accordance with the price list provided by the delivery service provider (courier).

 

If the Customer does not have a transport service provider (courier), they may request this service from Scan4you, Lda in writing, at least 2 (two) business days in advance.

 

The Customer cannot hold Scan4you, Lda liable for delays in the collection or delivery of products carried out by third parties, nor for any losses arising from such delays.

 

Scan4you, Lda must provide the Customer with a means of monitoring the delivery status by the courier, whenever the latter requests it.

 

Guarantees

The legal provisions in force apply to guarantees. The Customer must present proof of payment for the products or services purchased in order for the guarantee to be accepted.

 

The following are not included in the warranty:

 

  • work carried out, initiated or intervened by other elements outside the Scan4you, Lda laboratory;

  • fractures of teeth in acrylic prostheses;

  • any fractures in prostheses resulting from a fall, improper handling or misuse by the Patient;

  • relining of prostheses 3 months after delivery;

  • repetition of work due to error or omission in the prescription (colour, shape, material, occlusion, vertical dimension of occlusion)

  • repetition due to changes in the Patient's occlusion, loss of vertical dimension, muscular or skeletal changes;

  • repetition due to dissatisfaction by the Patient, after delivery of the final work.

 

The following are included in the warranty:

 

  • detachment of teeth in acrylic prostheses (2 years);

  • relining of prostheses up to 3 months after delivery; breakage of prosthesis due to structural failure of the material (2 years):

 

Declaration of conformity

Scan4you, Lda undertakes to keep the documentation relating to the design and manufacture of the custom-made dental health product available to the competent health authorities for 5 years.

 

As described in point 2 of Annex VIII of Decree-Law no. 145/2009, of 17 June, Scan4you, Lda (manufacturer) undertakes to prepare a declaration for each custom-made medical device. The declaration must include the following information:

 

  • name and address of the manufacturer;

  • data that allows the device in question to be identified (e.g. description, serial number, order number, generic name);

  • a declaration stating that the device is intended for use on a specific patient, and the name of that patient (this may be an acronym or numerical code when the patient expresses this wish, ensuring its traceability);

  • the name of the doctor or authorised technician who issued the prescription in question and, where applicable, the identification of the medical institution;

  • the specific characteristics of the device as indicated in the medical prescription;

  • the declaration that the device complies with the essential requirements set out in Annex I and, where applicable, an indication of the essential requirements that have not been fully complied with, accompanied by the respective justification.

 

Article 5 of Decree-Law No. 145/2009 of 17 June establishes that custom-made devices of classes IIa, IIb and III must be accompanied by the aforementioned declaration, which is provided to the Patient in question. This declaration must be drawn up before each device is placed on the market, and the manufacturer must send the Competent Authority a list of the devices that have been placed on the market by it.

 

Complaints

Complaints will only be accepted within a maximum period of 15 days after delivery, provided that the respective invoices and reasons for the same are indicated. To do so, the Customer must contact Scan4you, Lda, on +351 910 405 564, from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm (WET), or via email info@scan4you.pt.
